a future.”
Lord, these are the words
that I rest my head on
each and every night,
the words that let me
close my eyes,
the words that let me
take deep breaths,
the words that let me rest,
the words that say to me
in whispers and in sweet song,
the words that cradle me
and rock me to sleep,
the words that say simply:
There is hope.
